Prof. Dr. Michael ten Hompel, Managing Director of the Fraunhofer Institute of Material Flow and Logistics (IML), Chair of Materials Handling and Warehousing, Technical University of Dortmund
For 25 years this researcher has been concerned with fundamental issues in logistics and IT. First as an entrepreneur and nowadays as managing director of the Frauhofer IML. He is regarded as the father of the “Internet of Things” and as a protagonist in the fourth industrial revolution.
