Solutions to try
out,
making investment decisions easier
‘Hands-on logistics’ through examples from practical applications, plus specific solutions.
Live demonstrations of practical solutions to current issues give visitors an opportunity to get directly involved. Here they can experience e.g. the very latest information on best practice in ‘securing loads’ and ‘warehouse logistics’. Visitors can take a close-up look at whole sequences of processes in intralogistics and get answers to their questions from the experts.
'Hands-on and close-up' is what this presentation is all about.
All presentations are given in German! There is no simultaneous translation!
Participation in the events programme is included in the price of the LogiMAT ticket.

Tracking & Tracing
TheatreLive scenario of modern process chains
Transparency across material flow in production and in global supply chains is a strategic goal that is being pursued in all industries. The automatic identification of components, products, packing units and means of transport is an essential prerequisite for achieving this goal. In the Tracking and Tracing Theatre trade visitors are shown the wide range of AutoID technologies available and how these are used individually and together, namely bar code, 2D code (matrix code.), RFID, sensor technology and intelligent objects. Highlights are the logistics in the automotive sector and the tracking of deliveries from the supplier to a distribution centre and through to the parts hopper at the production line.
Efficient WarehousingState-of-the-art warehouse technology you can touch
The most current technologies from the warehouse hardware, order picking and warehouse management sectors, designed to facilitate efficient warehousing, will be on display in a warehouse forum covering 120 square metres. Hourly demonstrations in a specially constructed demonstration warehouse will illustrate how warehousing processes can be controlled in a highly efficient way using the appropriate software and hardware. With technologies such as RFID, Pick-by-Voice and Put-to-Light, trade visitors can place goods into stock, order pick and despatch goods. They can also view all the performance figures for those processes in graph form in the warehouse management system LFS.
Load securingGeneral cargo and associated securing problems
Consolidated consignments of general cargo is still the elite class in load securing and a great challenge for both the dispatcher and the transporter or driver. In one vehicle, for example, there will be different load securing methods in the cargo area, such as the tie-down technique. Visitors to the live event can generate and measure tension forces themselves, using various ratchet systems at a test stand.
The necessity for higher frictional force in load securing is not yet generally recognised. There will be demonstrations to show how friction values are ascertained and the level of efficiency of different friction-enhancing materials.
